Lighthouse
Guiding your child’s development, one stage at a time
Lighthouse is our guided level of support, with regular in-home visits focused on your child’s development and what’s coming next. Following the Isle Method, we listen, build and grow with you, choosing a developmental focus together each month and helping you and your nanny bring it to life every day.
For families stepping down from Compass
Once the hardest part is behind you, Lighthouse keeps the progress going. We help routines stay settled and consistent while gently shifting the focus from solving challenges to supporting your child’s next steps.
For families wanting structured developmental support
You don’t need a problem to solve to benefit from expert guidance. Whether it’s building independence, encouraging language and communication, supporting big feelings or nurturing a love of learning through play, we work alongside you and your nanny to give your child the best possible foundations.
For families preparing for what’s next
From starting pre-K to welcoming a new sibling, Lighthouse helps your family prepare ahead of time, so big changes feel calm, predictable and exciting rather than overwhelming. Working alongside you and your nanny, we plan playful activities to support every part of your child’s development, from early phonics and a love of books to the fine and gross motor skills behind holding a pencil or climbing at the playground, building the independence and confidence that make school readiness feel natural.
How it works

What’s included
A monthly developmental focus
Each month we choose a focus together, from independence and language to emotions and play, so support is always aimed at what matters most for your child right now.
You’ll receive clear focus plans and regular progress reviews, so everyone caring for your child can see how far they’ve come and what’s next.
Written plans and progress reviews
During each visit, your consultant works alongside you and your nanny, modelling approaches and building confidence, so the work continues long after we leave.
Coaching for you and your nanny
You’ll have access to your consultant between visits. If a new challenge arises, you can step up to Compass, or move to Mooring as things settle.
Support between visits

FAQs
You’ve got questions,
we’ve got answers
-
Every family’s needs are different, so we’ll help you decide. Most families start with an advisory call, where we talk through what’s happening at home and what you’d like support with. From there, we’ll arrange your Isle Assessment, which gives us a full picture of your child, your routines and your household, and lets us suggest the level that suits you best. Your level isn’t fixed: as your child grows and your needs change, you can step up for more hands-on support or move to a lighter level whenever it feels right.

Every family’s journey with Isle begins with the Isle Assessment. Over two weeks, we spend time in your home during the moments that matter, observing how your child plays, eats and settles, and talking with you and your nanny about what’s working and what feels hard. We look at your child’s development as a whole, from routines and independence to communication and emotions, alongside the rhythm of your household. From there, we recommend the level of support that best suits your family, so everything that follows is tailored to you from the very start. The Assessment is included when you join any level, or $2,000 as a one-off.

Isle isn’t an agency, and we never replace your nanny. Instead, we give both you and your nanny the tools and support needed to create a developmentally appropriate environment for your child at home. We work alongside your family, offering experienced advice and plans tailored to you, to make family life that little bit easier. We help build a strong, balanced partnership between you, and if challenges arise, we offer a neutral, supportive voice to help you find a way forward. Our aim is to align your household, creating a space where everyone can thrive.
-
In the early stages, you’ll work directly with our founder, Sofia Parish, a Norland-trained early years professional with over a decade of experience in private households across the UK and US. As Isle grows, families may also work with consultants trained in the Isle approach and supported by Sofia. Isle prioritises keeping the same consultant with your family wherever possible.
-
While our expertise is rooted in the early years, we work with families with children from birth up to age eight. We also advise expectant parents, helping them plan their childcare needs and prepare for the best possible start to family life.
-
Yes. Family life rarely stays the same for long, so our levels are designed to move with you. Many families begin with more hands-on support and step down to a lighter level as routines settle, then step back up when a new stage arrives, such as a new sibling or starting school. We’ll review your support with you regularly and recommend changes whenever your needs shift, so you’re never paying for more than you need or managing with less.
